About

cropped-20160726_184715-1.jpgI’m a London-based Coach & Trainer who helps people do that ‘thing’ in life that they really want to be doing

I’m one of those people who’s always been fascinated by just what it is that makes people able to go off and start doing the thing in life they really want to be doing. This fascination has led me on a long journey myself to find out just what that ‘thing’ is that works for me

I’ve gone down many interesting paths with regards to the jobs that I’ve done, the people I’ve met and the training that I’ve undertaken to try to find the answers to the questions I had about happiness, resilience, wellbeing and living a life I really wanted to be living

Over the years I’ve worked in factories, offices, as a Zoo Keeper, in the Homeless Sector, as a Personal Safety Instructor, a Cognitive Hypnotherapist

I now have a portfolio approach to work where I wear a number of hats and work in a number of different areas and at the time of writing I work in the Homeless Sector as a Volunteer & Mentoring coordinator and staff trainer, a freelance trainer working all over the UK in the area of Resilience & Wellbeing, as a Shinrin-Yoku Practitioner and a Coach specialising in Nature Guided Coaching approaches

With regards to training courses I’ve spent many years seeking out the best trainers in their field and have had the pleasure of training with some great people including Mark Dawes from The National Federation for Personal Safety, Andrew T Austin and Trevor Silvester of the Quest Institute

My desire to be able to help others in finding their own path towards resilience, wellbeing and finding their ‘thing’ has led me to train in a variety of therapy approaches. I’m qualified as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner & Winning Mind Coach via the Quest Institute

As well as studying with the Quest Institute I have also studied other therapy approaches including:

Reflective Practice approaches

Ecotherapy, Shinrin – Yoku & Nature Guided Therapy/Coaching approaches

IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy) – developed by Andrew T Austin

Mindfulness Based Interventions with The Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice

Sports Performance Coaching and Sports Psychology

Zen, Taoist and Stoic approaches to increasing self-awareness, resilience & wellbeing

I’m also registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council

I’ve been a trainer and coach providing training, coaching and supervision for over 18 years in many different areas including conflict management, mindfulness, stress management, resilience & wellbeing and reflective practice

I’ve worked with both individuals and organisations including Crisis at Christmas, The Connection at St Martins in the Fields, Centrepoint, Depaul UK, Homeless Link, Emmaus UK , New Horizons Youth Centre and Blenheim CDP

When I’m not working you’ll normally find me outside in the natural world, walking, reading, watching wildlife, taking photographs, writing and practicing being a stoic!
